SHAKIRA HIDES TO ATTEND LECTURES

Pop superstar SHAKIRA managed to go unnoticed at an American university by attending lectures dressed as a boy.
The sexy singer paused her music career to take a History of Western Civilisation course two summers ago at the University of California, Los Angeles.
And the Colombian beauty was able to sit in classes without causing a stir by swapping her glamorous stage outfits for loose-fitting men's clothing.
She says, "I went to university after my last tour and studied history. I lived the regular student life for a bit.
"I used to wear a cap, tennis shoes, big backpack, baggy pants - I looked like a boy. I tried to hide and concentrate on my classes.
"It was one of those things that had passed me by.
"I would have liked a normal career and to have experienced normal student life - but I'm not complaining."

Shakira presented the audience the full version of the video for the song «She Wolf». In the clip, which was directed by Jake Nava, the singer shows alluring body movements, symbolizing her «predatory sensuality».

«The woman begins its journey with its own wardrobe», - tells his clip Shakira in an interview via MTV. «She gets in the unreal world, where other funny things. It is fun. In addition, there is another meaning to the metaphor of the cell - a woman in a golden cage ».

«I just wanted to express what it is - to TRACE in captivity. Being in a golden cage. I think I was in a golden cage for most of his life. And now - no », - has continued to Shakira. «I started to do all sorts of strange things that dangle down and do what has not been scheduled. It was a kind of improvisation. I was just caught by surprise ».

Song «She Wolf» go to the next studio album Shakira with the same name. Talking about the song, Shakira said in an interview the magazine «Rolling Stone»: «« She Wolf »came to me very mysteriously, I was in the studio with a bad mood that day, then I felt inspired, sat in the corner and wrote the text and melody for ten minutes. The image of a wolf came to me in the head, and when I least expected, I began to breathe loudly and wail ».

Shakira - New Music - More Music Videos

She Wolf video premiere tonight!

Tonight (July 30th) at 8PM EST, US MTV will be giving the She Wolf video its world premiere. Viewers will be able to watch the video across MTV, MTV Tr3s, mtvU, MTV Hits, as well as at MTV.com and VH1.com.

We'll give you details of the video's first showing in other countries as we get them.

INTERNATIONAL UPDATE:

UK MSN.co.uk will premiere the video at 9am on Friday, July 31st. It will then be shown on Channel 4's T4 at 10am on Sunday, August 2nd.

Mexico TV premiere on Ritmoson on July 30 at 8pm, online premiere on MSN/Prodigy

Colombia TV premiere on all major networks between 8.30pm and 9pm.

Argentina TV premiere will be during primetime on July 30, simultaneously on all major TV networks and it will be broadcasted on national newscast at night (exclusivity with terrestrial networks).
