Shakira paid a visit to Barack Obama

Barack Obama met at the White House with the winner of Grammy "singer Shakira to discuss with her problems with the development of early childhood.

According to the Administration, on Monday 22 February, the Colombian singer has caused

brief visit to the White House to greet the President and tell him about his work in

field. The meeting was not included in the official calendar of head of the White House and was held once the Shakir met with other members of the administration.

The singer arrived in Washington to give a start to the initiative of the amount of $ 300 million, includes the expansion of programs for children in Latin America and the Caribbean.

In an initiative aimed at ensuring adequate nutrition for children under the age

six years, to improve their health and giving them other forms of assistance

involved the World Bank.

According to the World Bank funding for the initiative will be in the form

grants, loans and trust funds.
